Professional Ethics: 2010/2011 Update

This course will update you about new and revised ethical requirements that have been adopted during the past year or were being proposed or considered at the time this course was developed.

OBJECTIVES

• Identify new and revised ethics and independence rules adopted by the AICPA and other standard setters and regulators during the past twelve months.
• Describe areas of practice affected by the new and revised ethical requirements.
• Identify pending changes to the ethics and independence rules and areas of practice that may be subject to standard setting in 2010.
• Apply new and revised AICPA and PCAOB provisions
• Describe the importance of IFAC Code of Ethics to CPAs
• Describe new ethics rules relating to tax practice under IRC Section 6694 and IRS Circular No. 230
